Meet Our Administrator / Founder
Teneika Clifton Funderburk, MSN, RN, CCHP is the founder and owner of Loving In Home Care Services, Inc. and Nursing Careers Institute Inc. She is also a Master prepared registered nurse and a certified correctional healthcare personnel nurse. In 2006, she became the founder and CEO of Loving In Home Care Services, a non-medical home care agency providing in-home aide, hands on assistance to clients with disabilities, mental impairments and/or chronic conditions that prevent them from performing their own self-care.
After the success of Loving In Home Care Services Inc., Teneika felt it was equally important to groom a generation of nursing assistants who could provide personal care in any healthcare or home setting. Thus the birth of Nursing Careers Institute Inc. (NCI) was founded. NCI provides state approved programs to individuals who upon completion are able to sit for evaluation and certification exams.
Teneika is also a mental health nursing instructor for bachelor of nursing students, a NC Board of Nursing Medication Aide Instructor and a CPR instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from South Carolina State University, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from ECPI University, and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
